After quite a long lapse in posting to my Clever Tagline channel, I finally managed to squeeze in work on another short HitFilm tutorial. This one is in response to a question from last fall on the FXhome forum, where a user asked how to make a curving 3D arrow over a map. After a quick think, I came up with a surprisingly easy solution, but wasn’t able to put the time into a video until now.
This is also the first video that features the new branding I created a few months back, both for the Clever Tagline logo and the actual tip series itself. After finding another YouTube user who was making tutorials with the “HitFilm quick tip” moniker, I felt it would be best to come up with a new name, and landed on “HitFilm TipFilm.” Both new logo treatments were fun to create, and feature a variety of sounds from both ProductionCrate and FreeSound, plus a few sounds I recorded myself.
